Getting to know Ian
Ian is your typical gamer in his 30s. He can’t speak to women, loves fart jokes and has the lightsaber app in his iPhone. Ian hates sports games, virtual and real, and is trying to create a new religion based on gaming where when you die; you get re-spawned again at your nearest hospital with full health and ammo.
What’s your Favourite Band?
Favourite bands are Rage Against the Machine and SixNationState but John Frusciante’s solo work is my all time favourite music.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I went to Japan 11 years ago, but only for 3 weeks. I would love to return, but this time for much longer!
What is your favourite videogame?
This is hard to answer, as I will play games to death and then never return to them. Nowadays I love horror FPS’s but over the years my favourites have included Fantasy World Dizzy, Cannon Fodder, FarCry and Dead Space.
What would you never leave the house without?
My shorts.
What was your favourite childhood toy?
My G1 Optimus Prime closely followed by my ZX Spectrum +3.
Who was your first celebrity crush?
Spuggie from Byker Grove
If someone could play you in a film of your life, who would it be?
I’d like to say Ewan McGregor. But I’d probably end up with Leigh Francis (Avid Merrion).
What is your favourite film?
Any thing foreign and bonkers, for example, OldBoy, Ichi the Killer, Tokyo Gore Police, Martyrs.
